All permissions requested by the Jvro app are used solely to provide core functionality to users, and are only accessed with explicit user consent. Below is a detailed description of each permission's purpose:
Camera Permission
The camera permission is required to enable real-time photo and video capture within the Jvro app. This functionality supports core features such as taking profile photos, capturing media for chat conversations, and recording short videos for sharing with other users. The app only accesses the camera when the user actively initiates a camera-related action.
Photo Library (Album) Permission
Access to the photo library allows users to select existing photos, videos, and other media files from their device storage to share within the Jvro app. This permission is used for features including uploading media to chat threads, updating profile images, and saving content received from other users to the device. The app does not access the photo library without explicit user action and does not scan or collect media files passively.
Microphone Permission
The microphone permission is essential for voice-based features in the Jvro app, including real-time voice calls, voice message recording, and audio capture for video recordings. The microphone is only activated when the user explicitly initiates a voice or video call, or starts recording a voice message. No audio is recorded or transmitted without the user's active consent.
Network (Internet) Permission
Network access is a fundamental requirement for the Jvro app to function properly. This permission enables the app to:
